As most of you know, I had a visitor last week, and a lot of you have been asking how it went.  I had my reasons to wait to post this, and I am not going to get into them at all.

I have heard a couple of horror stories about visits.  Although I have had good experiences with my RL meetings, I was still quite nervous.  She was staying at my house for a week, and that could end up pretty bad.  So, I am sure you can see that it was an interesting situation we put ourselves in.  We both violated rule #1: Meet in public.

Thank goodness, neither of us was an axe murderer.  I am still alive and kicking, and so is she... really.  I have even talked to her on the phone since she got home, and have seen her in RLC. I know, 'Get on with it, web, give us the juicy details'.   Well, I wouldn't tell you juicy details one way or the other :P.  But I will give you the general stuff :).

When she got here, it was odd.  I didn't feel the click I thought I would.  But, thank goodness we still get along.  We hung out a lot together, watched some movies, shared stories, cooked each other meals.  We watched a TV series that I have on DVD, 'Dead Like Me'.  It was only on for 2 seasons, and we watched Season 1. 

I also took her to the gun range.  That is a big deal, because she is (was) practically phobic about guns.  I didn't push her, I simply asked her if she wanted to go.  Originally, she was going to shoot my handgun.  But after me firing it off a few times, she really didn't want to.  So, I got a little target practice in, and she got a little less phobic about guns.

We also saw a hawk in my backyard (more pictures on my Utherverse Profile: http://www.utherverse.com/webman68).  We both got pictures of it.  That was pretty cool.

I enjoyed the time we spent together, although it didn't go exactly the way her and I expected.  The good news is, we have both mad ea  good friend, and intend on keeping it that way.  I had a good time having her here, and we will probably see each other again sometime.
