Recently I've realized I have been taking things on/in RLC a bit too serious, and this is my explanation of the realism in RLC.

I was recently told by a friend that one must distinguish realism on here, what is real, and what is "just playing the game." Well... this friend told me that one of the things that isn't real is the flirting and the sex... I disagree, flirting is innocent enough... as long as it remains just playful flirting... the sex however is a different story...

The RLC sex is quite interesting when you think about it, some people have found a relationship on here, and they only have RLC sex with one person because they love that person and would like to be with them. Other people "play the game," meaning these people are here for the fun of it, because having sex on here is like looking at porn, but it's interactive and there's someone behind the other avatar. This is where it really gets interesting... my friend told me that the sex on here isn't real... well if people are pleasuring themselves while having sex on here, then it starts to become real, they pleasure themselves and achieve orgasms... well sex just became real... because if the sex isn't real, the orgasm was... and the reason why... because they just had an orgasm thinking about the other person, they were pleasuring themselves, imagining the person they were having RLC sex with was administering the pleasure to them... so it's not real huh?

One reason why people came to RLC is to meet people, to make new friends and possibly more. Another reason is that they stumbled upon RLC while looking at porn sites, so those people are looking for sex partners, and/or a relationship. Others, are couples in real life, that use RLC to spice up their relationship. Then you have the people that are on RLC just for the sex, they don't care about who it's with they just want it. Either way there is a person behind each and everyone of the avatars on RLC... thus, because of that, the person relays their feelings through their typing and the actions of their avatar.

I guess in closing, the only thing I can say is that RLC is a very unique place, some take it seriously not because they are lost in the RLC world of make believe, but because they have developed friendships and relationships on here that would not have had a chance to develop anywhere else, sometimes these friendships and relationships go beyond RLC, and much deeper into the people... into the real world.
