Wow, it has been too long since I have written a post.  I am truly sorry about that.  I have been a bit busy and preoccupied.

There has been a few new features added to the client, and I think I like all of them.  I particularly like the stand up sex.   But, I am also finding it a bit annoying.  It is awesome that it allows you to have sex pretty much anywhere in the virtual world, as long as you can get naked.  I have personally had sex in the street, the Cathedral (no longer there now), and the lagoon :).  I absolutely love it.  More...

The epic battle between (my) mind and machine

There is this battle going on between my will and the will of my laptop’s computer screen. My mind tells me that I’m spending way too much time in rlc, that I should be focusing on more real life adventures and relationships, that I should be out networking among my professional peers. At least that’s what I keep telling myself. But I’ve met and developed some super fun relationships with a lot of you guys, albeit virtual. As such, I find myself, thinking about this game and the ppl I’ve met inside much of the day. More...

I was reading through the bulletins the other day, and I saw a post that I have seen before.  Nope, not even one that you repost, not the type that are the different surveys, but one I have seen in different forms from different users.  It is one of a few posts that I have seen that several people cycle through.  My friend had posted that he was going to not be in RLC as much anymore, due to personal reasons.  For the people who have been in RLC for awhile, I am sure you have seen it.  This is usually the end of a cycle, but it is a good end.

The cycle goes like this:

• New user, in awe of what RLC is all about - is in RLC for 4-8 (or more) hours a day
• Meets great new people, makes a lot of friends.  Maybe meets one in RL
• Drama starts with them (see my previous post on drama)
• Drama gets bad, and the person leaves RLC for good
• They come back
• They keep good friends, stays on for hours and hours again
• User realizes that their real life is deteriorating, and needs to get back on track.
• User lives in Real Life and RLC happily More...

Well, if you have been in RLC more than a month or so, then you knew this post was coming.  I have been there a long time, and I have seen my share of drama.  I am even embarrassed to admit that I have been involved in some drama.  I have been really good about staying out of drama, or at least on the fringes of it, so that I do not get hurt, or hurt others.

What is drama in RLC?  How can something like a virtual 3D world create drama?  Those questions are the topic of many conversations in the RLC world.  It has been talked to death at times, and still, it happens.  And the 'why' it still happens is easy, the avatars in RLC have real people behind them.  Now lets talk about the what and how.
