The following post is from the Blog of Hardazsteele

I wanted to share with my new rlc family, a recent observation as it relates to this fabulous online experience/opportunity. My initial curiosity of RCL stemmed from my interest in a newspaper article, partially describing the VR experience, which included opportunity for business expansion into VR. I wanted to check out the environment and see how real the experience could be. The interesting part is while we attempt separate the virtual world from the “real” world in our minds, emotionally and character wise many of us bring our same old habits, tendencies, fears and beliefs with us into RLC. A interesting example would be today when I was thinking of a person in my RLC list who is a professional in the software field, he would be someone that could help immensely in the search for knowledge and information relating to the creation of this new frontier, however, if u visit my page, that person probable would not make my front page list…because he is male. My thirst for the most beautiful or in some cases most fuck-able female has almost consumed my first 5 days in the world. ( Granted it was a very worthwhile endeavor and education). But because VR is known as fantasy, we (hopefully) let go of most of our inhibitions that was given to us by society or other forms of social conditioning in ‘reality’. More...

I have seen so many situations where the Iggy button was useful, and some where it should have been used.  For those who don't know, the Iggy (Ignore) button in RLC allows you to ignore someone.  You ignore them, and they disappear, and you disappear for them.  You cannot see them, and they cannot see you.  There are still some bugs to work out with it, but I have confidence in the programmers that they have worked them all out on the new release.

Women tend to use this feature more than men, but I have some people on my list, too.  Mostly these are people who have made complete asses out of themselves, or are annoying good friends of mine.  It is simple to use, you simply right click on the person to ignore, and ignore them.  You can find them on the list of local people, or if they are standing in front of you.  More...

In my last post, I had mentioned a little about Private Messaging (PM) ladies in RLC.  I started to go out on a tangent, and had to reel myself back in, and decided to write a post on just PM etiquette.

A Private Message in RLC is just what it says, private.  It is like standing next to your friend, and having a conversation at a party.  Or, talking to that little hottie you just walked up to, but on a more personal level.  An unwelcome PM can be quite annoying.  I liked how Pami put it, it is like that mosquito you can't quite swat, or get to.

There are some people who don't mind the PMs.  But there are several people who are so swamped with PMs, that they lose track of them.  I would like to offer a few guidelines on PM Etiquette here. More...

I have been in RLC for over a year now, and I have seen many ways that work when talking to the ladies, and hundreds of ways that don't.  I sometimes just sit and watch men and their different ways to approach women, and can tell pretty quickly if they are going to get shot down.

There are so many ways to approach ladies in RLC.  And a lot of times I see or hear about things that men do that are just not right in so many ways.  See if you can pick out the best ways to approach a lady out of this list: More...

The following is a post by the RLC user Crazy_Duck, posted here with his permission.

Recently I've realized I have been taking things on/in RLC a bit too serious, and this is my explanation of the realism in RLC.

I was recently told by a friend that one must distinguish realism on here, what is real, and what is "just playing the game." Well... this friend told me that one of the things that isn't real is the flirting and the sex... I disagree, flirting is innocent enough... as long as it remains just playful flirting... the sex however is a different story... More...

Red Light Center is a beautiful place. It’s a place where you can escape from the demands of  real life and have a lot of fun. You can find the pleasure and company of someone who meets your match.

RLC is a fantasy, but in reality, you can find and become dear friends with someone or with many people. No more hiding who you are, be who you want to be and let the RLC world accept you for it. There is no work hours in RLC, lots of places to hang out and chat, places to play like the Lagoon, the skating rink, movie theaters, or the just the street if that’s your choice.

I got to admit, I came into RLC with a friend who told me about it, aka MedMom, and I did it because I was told about the realism with the sex and the other person. At first, I was really into all of that, finding who I can to have relations with, then I realized that it was more than that for me. I have found some very nice friendships in RLC, and friendships that I have taken out of RLC and that we talk on a regular basis in the regular world. Come join us in RLC, were looking for more great people! It is FREE to join…
